Volunteers contribute their time, knowledge, experience and skills to enhance Terra and its programs. Volunteers may serve as:

  • Board Members

  • Labour Support Coaches
  • Cooks
  • Tutors
  • Child Care Assistance
  • Administrative Support

Volunteers may also help out with fund raising events:

  • Casinos

  • Special Events

Volunteers over the age of 18 who have a sincere interest in supporting young parents are encouraged to apply.

Applicants must be willing to complete an interview, provide references and complete a police and child welfare check.

Community Donations

Currently, Terra's Clothes Closet is unable to accept donations.  Please contact us again in September.

Terra relies on the generosity of the community to help young families.

Donations of new and gently used baby items, infant and toddler clothing and small household items are accepted and distributed to young families through Terra’s Clothes Closet.

We always appreciate businesses that are able to donate clothing, personal hygiene items, food, formula, diapers and baby items.

Often families, service clubs or groups of friends work on a special projects to help young families in need. Groups have compiled baby hampers, new home hampers, made quilts, hosted events, collected Canadian Tire money, held baby showers and purchased Christmas gifts.

If you have an idea you would like to explore or would like us to come and speak to your group, please call us at 428.3772.
