Parenting Support for Young Dads
Young dads have the desire to be involved with their children and sometimes need parenting support or information. Terra staff work with young and teen dads in a safe, non-judgmental atmosphere to help young fathers develop effective parenting skills.
Support services are available for expecting or parenting young dads up to 24 years of age.
Young Dads Outreach
Young dads can access brief support or long term services to help them learn about parenting and overcome personal barriers. Individual and group services are flexible and based on the individual needs of the young dad:
Home visits, Community visits, or Office visits will provide: individual counseling, parenting and child development education, personal support, referral to community resources and advocacy related to specific issues. These visits can be planned or unplanned, short or long term; day or evening.

Dads are welcome to register for other Terra activities and programs.
Resource Centre
The resource centre is available for young fathers to access on a drop in basis. This centre is equipped with a phone, fax services and resource materials.
