The Resource Worker helps Terra families secure safe and affordable accommodation by lending one-to-one support. Activities include advocacy, community referrals, apartment search and assistance with issues related to independent living (utility hook-up, damage deposit, etc.).
A 14-suite apartment building (photo right) with one and two bedroom units is available for young parents and their children. The building features a tenant common area, playroom, donation room and staff office. There is a Family Housing Worker on-site to provide individual and group support
Funding for this project came from the Edmonton Housing Trust Fund, City of Edmonton, Canadian Mortgage & Housing and Mikhael Management Corporation. Donations have been received from Ideal Decor, Rotary Downtown & Rotary Northeast.
